2. The information we collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Order information — products you buy, order value, gift messages and delivery instructions.

  • Marketing preferences — when you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address and consent choices.
  • Correspondence — messages, reviews and any photos you choose to send us (for example, when reporting a damaged item).

  • Fraud prevention and security — screening orders and protecting the Site. Lawful basis: legitimate interests and legal obligations.
  • Legal, tax and accounting compliance — keeping records HMRC and other authorities require. Lawful basis: legal obligation.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where necessary, and never sell your data:

  • Shopify — hosts our store and processes data on our behalf.
  • Payment providers — such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay, strictly to process your payment.
  • Delivery carriers — e.g. Royal Mail, to deliver your order and provide tracking.
  • Email and marketing tools — to send newsletters you have subscribed to.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — accountants, insurers, HMRC or law enforcement where the law requires.

Every processor is bound by contract to protect your data and may only use it on our instructions.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers (including Shopify) process data outside the UK, for example in Canada and the United States. Where this happens, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum to EU Standard Contractual Clauses, so your information remains protected to UK standards.

6. How long we keep it

  • Order and transaction records: up to 6 years after your order, to meet UK tax and accounting requirements.
  • Account data: for as long as your account is active, then deleted or anonymised within 12 months of closure.
  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
  • Customer-service correspondence: up to 24 months, unless needed longer for a dispute.

When we no longer need your information, we delete or irreversibly anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can, free of charge:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • Rectify anything inaccurate or incomplete;
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention duties;
  • Restrict or object to processing, including objection to direct marketing at any time;
  • Port your data to another provider in a machine-readable format;
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
  • Not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that significantly affect you.

We would always appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including TLS encryption across the Site, PCI-DSS compliant payment processing via Shopify, and strict internal access controls. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we continually review our safeguards.

9. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The latest version will always be on this page with its "last updated" date, and for material changes we will notify account holders by email.
